The compact and tiny Netgear WNR612 is one of the best entry-level Wireless-N router which provides speed up to 150Mbps. The Router is a singe-band wireless N router that operates on 2.4 GHz band. It has single non-detachable powerful external antenna which provides excellent wireless coverage compare to closest competitors.
It is basically same as a Netgear JNR1010 router, the only two minor difference I find in Netgear WNR612 are absence of dedicated Fastlane & Wireless on/off button and it has only 2 LAN 100Mbps Port. The Netgear WNR612 is cheaper than JNR1010, if you doesn’t require additional 2 LAN Ports, look no further than Netgear WNR612. If you don’t need some high-end networking features, more LAN ports and USB port than Netgear WNR612 makes an excellent choice.
The Router comes with Netgear’s Genie Dashboard that allows you to manage, control and repair your network easily. Also It has some nice features like Guest Network, Advanced QoS, Broadband Usage Meter, Parental Control, AirPrint etc.
Here, I’m talking about some key features, cons and technical specifications of the router. Also I’ve done wireless range comparison between routers.
